Cat Cafe In Warsaw: Miau Grau!

If you are a cat lover like us, you must find yourself spending time at this cute cat cafe in Warsaw called Miau Grau. It’s one of the main cat cafes in the capital city of Poland and we can see why! With four furry legged kitties, you can enjoy a bite to eat, something to drink and play time together with the cats.

*This post is based on our January 2022 visit.

The Cutest Cat Cafe in Warsaw

During the visit to Warsaw we simply googled to find a cat cafe close to the city center and came across Miau Grau. Miau Grau Seems to have a nice local history where it all started with crowdfunding via a Polish site. They had more than 1700 people donating for the cat cafe idea to become real. From here they grew and became a lovely cafe that you can see for yourself now. It was also apparently the first ever cat cafe in Warsaw!

These days Miau Grau is home to four cats; Charlie, Coco, JaÅ› and Klakier. All unique with their own personalities and gorgeous fur coats. Two of the cats seem to be from the bengal breed, with the other two short haired cats being another type of breed. But all are loveable and all came to say hello during our visit!

Where is Miau Grau Cat Cafe in Warsaw?

Located not far from the Warsaw Main (Warszawa Glowna) Train station, Miau Grau is located in the city center of Warsaw and easily reachable by public transportation or by foot. For distance, we would say it’s easily visitable walking from places such as the Palace of Culture and Science and surrounding neighbourhoods.

The official address on Google is:

ul. Kolejowa 49A lok. U7
01-210 Warsaw

Food And Drink At Miau Gr

For dining, they have the most delicious food options and drinks to choose from. This is starting from an early breakfast time all the way to a late dinner time. You order at the bar in the first area of the cafe, before heading into the cat section to the right. When your order is ready, you can collect it, and then bring your empty plates back to this area afterwards. This helps make sure that none of the cats get tempted to lick your plate!

During our breakfast visit, we decided to have some fresh scrambled eggs with crunchy French brown bread, mild cheese and a deliciously fresh salad with dressing. For drinks we enjoyed a hot fruity tea infused with orange, ginger, raspberry syrup, honey and dried cloves and also a coffee with chocolate, peanut butter, hazelnut and whipped cream – both highly recommend!

Cat Cafe Rules

There are rules to follow while there, such as not to feed the cats, not to wake them or to pick them up. There is also a rule when visiting with children younger than 14, such as making sure they are 100% supervised at all times. But of course you are allowed to stroke them when they want it and play with them when they want to be played with. These rules are all explained when visiting too, to keep you and the cats in a calm relaxing environment at all times.

You can stay for a certain amount of time, especially during the busy popular hours. This allows everyone to have time with the cats and enjoy some time together inside the location. There is also a large cupboard of games and activities to do while visiting, so you can stay for a relaxing time playing games together with others.

I absolutely adore visiting cat cafes when I travel. This place is so quaint. I know how much a cat lover misses her cats when traveling so this really helps ease homesickness! Meow!

I had heard about this cafe! We love cats and we’ve been to other cat cafes in other cities. Next time we’re in Warsaw we’ll definitely pop into this one.
