Eindhoven Street Art in the Netherlands is something all expats and locals should check out and enjoy every once in a while. Street Art and graffiti designs can be found all over the city of Eindhoven. Whether you go by bike, car or foot, you wont be disappointed. One of the top places is The Bear Pit worth visiting!
Eindhoven Street Art
From my 4 months in Eindhoven, I have experienced spotting many street art across the whole city. Whether you visit for a day, or for longer – you will spot many street art too! When entering the city by car, many side streets from the ring Eindhoven already have buildings or tunnels with some amazing graffiti work.
Step In The Arena – Graffiti Walls
Nicknamed The Bear Pit (Berenkuil), this seems to be the best place for new and interesting art work, during the 4 months that I’ve experienced in Eindhoven. The location is situated close to Eindhoven Central train station, easily walking from there towards the Karpendonkse Plas park. I found it best walking here and combining it with a walk at this park nearby. But you can also explore the graffiti street art easily with a bike or car. However by car, you will have to park up near here and walk closer.
It seems here you can create your own graffiti legally without permission. When we visited there was already some artists creating their new art work.
For November 2020, there has been some new artwork created on the walls at the Step In The Area location. See below the cool artwork with Pokemon characters. They are all wearing masks since we are still in a semi-lockdown in November. Since I was brought up with Pokemon, it was great to check this out!

There are many other locations that you check out, such as:
- Dommeltunneltje
- Strijp-S
- Philips Stadium along the train wall
I’m sure there are many more too, since I am only here for 4 months I have not seen all locations.

Eindhoven is a great location for checking out street art. You could easily spend the whole day exploring not just this Step In The Arena location but the whole of Eindhoven.
